Empac Design is a Texas Corporation founded in 1973 to provide electro-mechanical packaging solutions to the electronic industry.

Empac Design soon gained recognition for the ability to provide quality on-time solutions to its' customers. Empac's reputation grew rapidly in the semiconductor industry as a leader in controlled impedance/matched signal length load boards and performance boards. As a result, Empac was asked by a leading semiconductor manufacturer to develop a Prober-Tester Interface solution for wafer sort. The PTI series of cable interfaces was born.

Currently, there are several thousand Empac Design PTI Interfaces and PTI Probe Cards, I/F Cards, Load Cards and custom probe cards being utilized in test-sites world wide for wafer and packaged device testing.
